The image that appears in the end, the seven billion humans occupying an area roughly the size of Los Angeles, it might be a bit ambiguous and it seems to me that some have misunderstood. It would appear that 7 billion are still very few for the planet ... which is not! But I think the authors would rightly put the emphasis on the use of excessive resources natural fact by one party (minority) of the global population. Not to mention the absolute figures of population growth, just more pronounced.
The fact that the overall environmental footprint of humans is increasingly unbearable.
